Jack and Jill are fish. The stone flew through the window, hitting the bowl. Causing it to fall to the ground. So the lack of water caused them to die.

Stone comes from the window and collapsed with jack's head. He died on the spot. Then jill listened the voice and came rushing and she slipped on the water split in the room and died when her head collapsed with broken glass of window due to stone
