Short Riddles and Answers

Question: A man murders his wife with a knife in their car. Nobody is around to see this. He throws her out of the car being careful not to leave any fingerprints on her body. Next he throws the knife off of a cliff into a gorge where it will never be found and he goes home. An hour later the police call him and tell him that his wife has been murdered and he needs to come to the scene of the crime immediately. As soon as he arrives, he is arrested.

How did they know he did it?

Question: You stand at a fork in the road. Next to each of the two forks, there stands a guard. You know the following things: First that one path leads to paradise, the other leads to Death. You cannot distinguish between the two paths. You also know that one of the two guards always tells the truth and the other always lies. You have permission to ask one guard one question to discover which path leads to paradise. What one question would you ask to guarantee you take the path to paradise?

Question: A king finds a woman he wants to marry but she refuses. But since he is the king, she has to. The king gives her a deal: he will write 'YES' and 'NO' on two pieces of paper. The papers will be put into a hat and she will choose one. If it says yes she will marry him, if it says no she will not. The only problem is that the king cheats and puts two pieces of paper that say yes into the hat, but the woman is the only one who sees this.

How can the woman avoid marrying the king?

Question: Three men were told by God, " If you step on a duck, you shall marry the ugliest woman. However, if you do not step on a duck, you shall marry the most beautiful woman in all the land." The three men accepted. The first man stepped on a duck from not paying attention. The second man accidentally stepped on a duck in his son's room. The third man never stepped on a duck and was then married to the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. But why was he really married to the beautiful woman?

Question: The police found a lost kid. He is too young to talk and can't say where his parents are. Three people came claiming they were the kid's parent. They were allowed to spend 2 minutes alone with the boy. The policemen were watching them through the window. Claiming parent 1: A woman with chocolate, a burger, and fries feeding the little kid. Claiming parent 2: "Where were you, I have been looking for you everywhere!?" Claiming parent 3: "Look it's your favorite car!" Who is the criminal?
