Short Riddles and Answers

 

Question: In Colorland, there was a party. Red tried out the hardest adventures and he was never scared for his color, red, symbolized courage. Orange looked at the sun with a smile for his color is the color of the sun in space. Yellow went on laughing for her color symbolizes happiness. Green went on in the fresh grass for grass is his color. All the colors were happy. However, Blue stared at the horizon, crying. Why he is not happy?


Question: A king is on a cross-sea voyage and as soon as they get off of their boats he spots the most beautiful elephant he has ever seen. He decides to take it home, but first, he wants to know its weight.

The largest scale they brought only goes up to 50 pounds. The king demands that his smartest scholar must come up with a solution or pay the consequences. After several days he finally comes up with an answer.

Question: You have 3,000 grapes with you. You have to send these grapes to a city which is 1000 km from your farm. These are the rules that you have to follow; ◾Your truck can carry only 1,000 grapes at a time. ◾Every time you travel a kilometer towards the city you have to pay a toll tax of 1 grape. ◾You pay nothing when going in the other direction. (towards your farm) What is highest number of grapes you can get to the city?

Shortcut (medium)

Question: A man lives in a small village in a poor country. There's no jobs in the village. To find work you must travel 2 hours by animal to the nearest city. One day when the man was going home he got stopped by a traveler. The traveler said there's a shortcut the man could take as long as his name has no more than 10 letters, has no more than 3 vowels, and has no letters repeat more than once. If the man's name is Solomon can he take the shortcut?

Question: Two men, Watson and Holmes, are out in the extremely dry forest. They are completely surrounded by a large forest fire on one side and a dangerous cliff on the other. The wind is blowing the forest fire towards them and the cliff. The fire will reach them in about one day.

Holmes turns to Watson, "I have matches, berries, and enough water for a day. We aren't going to die." How can they avoid getting swallowed up by the forest fire?
