Long Riddles and Answers

Question: A man is walking through the park one day and sees a group of four boys standing in a circle. A smaller boy is holding a large stick and hands it to a larger boy saying "I couldn't do it, your turn."

The larger boy swings the stick twice and the other two boys go to the ground. The smaller boy says "I'll get 'em next time." The man walks away smiling.

What just happened?

Question: A man wanted to enter and exclusive club, but did not know the password to get in. He waited by the door and listened. The doorman said "Twelve" and the other man said "Six" and was let in. A second member came up and the doorman said "Six" to which the member replied "Three" and was let in. The man went up and the doorman said to him "Ten" the doorman said "Five" but was not let in. Why?

Question: 28th Feb, 2015 Josh went to rob a bank. He threatened to kill the cashier if he didn't open the vault. The cashier told him the vault is not opened with keys but with a password. You can't kill me since I'm the only one who knows the password and everyday the password is different. Josh shot the cashier, entered the password, opened the vault and stole all the money. What is the password?

Question: You work at a factory that produces dumbbell weights for lifting. One of the 10 machines has been producing weights that are always 1 pound less than the rest of the machines. You have a large scale used to weigh the weights for quality control. How could you find the defective machine by using the scale only once? You are allowed to make as many weights with the machines as you please.

Question: Everyday a peasant must pay the king one pound of gold and leave it on a collection plate in front of his house. Every morning a guard comes by to make sure he has put a pound of gold on the plate. The king collects the gold every six days from the plate. If the peasant only has one six pound block of gold, how can he make only two parallel cuts and still follow the kings rules each day?
