Getting All Connected With Facebook, Twitter, and Google Plus

By: Justin Zablocki (author, Zablocki Bros. LLC) on November 24th, 2013 05:02 PM.

We've made it possible to join and login to GRiN:) with Facebook now to make the user experience more smooth and connected. Eventually, we will be utilizing Facebook features to a greater extent to facilitate sharing, challenging, and more. Similarly, sharing buttons have been added to riddles and jokes to make it easier for you to share them on your social networks. We HIGHLY encourage you to share them as we feel that sharing a riddle or well-writen joke is more meaningful than much of the mundane posts that you see on social networks these days.

We plan on making progress towards a more socially connected word play website as such features will be mutually beneficial to GRiN:) and its users.

We are happy to announce the introduction of our Jokes section of GoodRiddlesNow.com. Please note that not all jokes present in the jokes section of this website are child appropriate. For kid-friendly jokes please visit the "jokes for kids" page specifically.

A Picture's Worth A Thousand Riddles

By: Justin Zablocki (author, Zablocki Bros. LLC) on October 4th, 2013 06:44 AM.

The team here at GRN has just released our first set of Picture Riddles. These riddles include a photograph or graphic depicting the riddle to be solved. Text will often accompany these riddles as well. Not only will the question portion of the riddles include images, the answer portion may also include an image depicting the answer to the riddle. The images will be initially displayed as a smaller thumbnail in the riddle; by clicking the thumbnail a full-sized version will be displayed for better viewing.

As well as picture riddles, the team has implemented a few other helpful changes to the content of riddles:

  • Riddles now list their title on their individual viewing page (view this by clicking a riddle in a listing).
  • Each riddle may now include a "hint" option to aid the reader in solving the riddle.
  • Riddles may include an origin URL where more information can be viewed.

Please enjoy these updates and check out our selection of picture riddles.

Users Can Save Answered Riddles

By: Justin Zablocki (author, Zablocki Bros. LLC) on October 1st, 2013 04:18 AM.

We have just released the initial version of riddle correctness for users. For each riddle that a user views an answer for they may save whether or not they correctly answered the riddle. This data will help provide the total number of users who correctly answered the riddles for all to see. Each individual user's ability to answer an individual riddle will not be visible to the public, though. Eventually, all of this riddle answer correctness data will be used in the upcoming Riddle IQ calculator. All registered users who have saved their riddle answers will be given a Riddle IQ that compares their ability to solve riddles with that of others. Please enjoy this unique riddle feature by becoming a member and logging in.

New User System Released

By: Justin Zablocki (author, Zablocki Bros. LLC) on September 27th, 2013 02:33 AM.

The team at GoodRiddlesNow.com has just released the user section of the website. This latest feature release is a part of our efforts to provide our visitors with quality content, higher levels of site interaction, and means for providing feedback. Visitors may now easily sign up with nothing more than their email address and gain access to many cool features. The most important feature users can access at present is the ability to compose and submit their own riddles and puzzles. Upon submitting a riddle, administrators of GoodRiddlesNow.com will review it, edit it, and will either email a notification of acceptance or failure to meet some specified requirement. On top of riddle creation, users are able to save their favorite riddles to their favorites section and edit their profile information. Each user is automatically given an author profile page that lists their riddles and biographical information for other users to see.

Please sign up for our new user system by visiting our member registration page. If you are already a member, sign in and start publishing your own riddles.
